What a great pity that adverse weather affected attendance at this well run popular show. It was an excellent entry but sadly many exhibitors just couldn’t make it, nonetheless there was a really good atmosphere and some super cats for me to judge. My thanks to Anne for the invitation and hospitality ( the hot lunch was very welcome) and to my stewards Lee and Paula Orton. Hope we can work together again soon.
Brown Burmese Adult Male( 2 entered 1 absent)
1 McCoys Ch KYMIAN WESTON (27) M 23/03/08
Nice type to this lad who had a weighty well muscled body with a rounded chest and straight back, with sturdy legs and neat oval paws. His tail is of good length and shape, balances to his shoulder and has a paintbrush tip. Slightly flat top of head with plenty of width between his large ears that have a broad base and rounded tips. They are correctly set with the outer line following his wedge with a slight forward tilt. He has a short broad wedge, blunt muzzle and a level bite. His profile shows good depth to his head with a slightly rounded brow and distinct nose break that just slopes away slightly. His chin is level and of a good depth. His eyes are a pale yellow chartreuse eyes have the desired shape giving the typical Burmese expression but could be a fraction larger. His coat is a coolish seal brown with a smattering of white hairs around his shoulders and across his chest and in the groin area. In lovely condition today and with a very sweet temperament.

I had the honour of handling this girl to Supreme Grand Champion last year and she is certainly a worthy winner. She is a mature girl who is at her best at 6 years of age, she has a firm weighty body rounded chest and straight back, elegant limbs and neat spoon shaped paw, she has a well shaped tail of medium thickness that tapers to a rounded tip and balances her body. Her beautifully balanced Burmese head has a gently rounded top with good width between her well set ears. They are correctly shaped being wide at the base with gently rounded tips and set with a slight forward tilt, the outer edge following the lines of her face. Her wedge is short broad and narrows to a blunt muzzle with good width at the jaw hinge and a level bite. She has large lustrous yellow chartreuse eyes of the required shape and set with the top line slanting towards her nose and a fuller more rounded lower line, set wide apart giving her a real grumpy look. In profile she has a rounded brow and distinct break to her short straight nose, firm level chin and level bite. Her coat is short satin like and a warm seal brown. A super girl with a lovely temperament.

Stylish red smoke tabby point Cornish Rex with a medium body that was slender and in hard muscular condition. He has proportionately long straight legs and with small oval paws and a long well covered tapering tail. His head shows a medium wedge with characteristic high cheek bones and of correct proportions appearing about one third longer than wide. In profile he has a flat skull that curves gently at brow and is virtually straight to tip of his nose his chin is firm and he has a level bite. His ears are large with a wide base and rounded tips and are set quite high on his head. He has medium sized bright blue eyes that are oval in shape and set with an almost straight topline and slight slant to the outer ear. He had a lovely short dense silky coat that was well rippled over his body, head, neck and descending down his legs and along his tail. He has super crinkly whiskers and eyebrows. A very relaxed boy shown in lovely condition.
2 Penfolds Ch JALANKAYU SUBARA (77) M 11/09/09
Alert Singapura boy who demanded attention, he has a very good body for shape and size with well muscled elegant legs with small oval feet, and a well balanced tail. His head shows a rounded skull with good width at the outer eye and narrowing to a short broad muzzle with definite whisker break. His ears are wide at the base, deep cupped and correctly set with good width between and the outer line just wide of parallel. Lovely large luminous green eyes of are of very good shape, held well open and set wide apart and at slight slant, Good depth to head with gently rounded brow, slight stop and short straight nose and level chin of good depth. His coat is fine close lying and of medium length and has a smooth silky texture, in superb condition, showing clear ticking of a warm rich sepia brown over a warm ivory ground. He has smudges on his knees and a few narrow inner bars on forelegs, well broken yellow toned necklace, rich warm salmon backs to ears, “M” and scarab on forehead, attractive mascara effect to eyes surrounded by light spectacles, well defined “Cheetah” marks on face. A lovely boy with a super temperament.
3 Collins LUBIMEYEH BIYSTRA (16a) M 05/02/08
Striking Russian blue lad with an elegant body that feels firm and muscular with long limbs with neat oval paws and a long tapering tail. His wedge is short and he has good width between his ears with prominent whisker pads giving breadth to his muzzle. In profile he has a straight forehead to his upper eye level then a subtle concave curve to his nose giving a straight appearance. He has a strong chin with a level bite. His ears are large and pointed, set on a broad base with their outer edge following the outline of his face. His eyes are set well and are almond in shape and a mid green colour. His coat is short, fine and soft with a dense undercoat and of a clear mid blue with a distinct silvery sheen. A very sweet lad.
4 Hills RINAHTO FELLAMELAD (33 31) M 05/08/07
Stylish black and white Cornish Rex with a medium body that was slender and in hard muscular condition. He has proportionately long straight legs and with small oval paws and a long well covered tapering tail with a tiny pip at the tip. His head shows a medium wedge with characteristic high cheek bones and of correct proportions appearing about one third longer than wide. 1 Fergusons Ch MESKHENET SEKHMET (78 30s) F 27/11/09
Attractive Egyptian Mau with a nicely balanced medium length body that is strong and weighty. Her legs are elegant and of good length with small rounded paws. She has a medium length tail that is thicker at base and tapers gently towards tip. Her head shows a slightly rounded wedge of medium length with uniform width to her nose and a gently round muzzle that could have a little more width. Her profile shows a gentle contour with a slight rise from the bridge of the nose to the forehead and flows back into her neck, reasonable depth to chin and level bite. She has medium sized ears that are broad at the base with moderately pointed tips and follow the outer lines of the face. Her eyes are large almond shaped, set straight and are a pleasing pale gooseberry green colour giving a typical Mau “worried” expression. Her coat is medium in length, dense, resilient and close lying with a healthy sheen. She has clear black markings on a silver ground that pale to charcoal along her flanks. She has an M on her forehead, with a complex scarab that breaks into spots along the spine line, mascara lines on her cheeks. Her body is has clear small well defined spots, she has two broken necklaces, leg bars and a ringed tail with a dark tip. A gentle girl who was joy to judge.
2 Curtis Ch DENILLANNE ALECXA (16a) F 05/04/04
Mature Russian blue girl of very good weight and size looking mature with a well muscled elegant body, with medium bone and of good weight with long limbs and neat oval paws with blue pads. Her head shows short wedge from the tip of the nose to eyes with equal length from the eyes to ears. She has prominent whisker pads, large pointed ears are set high on a wide base with the outer edge following the outline of her face. In profile her skull is almost flat to upper eye level with a very shallow concave curve to nose. Level bite but slightly shallow although level chin. Almond shaped vivid green eyes were a little deep set but are wide apart giving her a gentle expression. Her coat is short, soft, dense and fine and is a clear medium blue with a silvery sheen

Elegant cream girl with a strong body that feels firm and muscular with rounded chest and straight back. She has proportionate elegant legs with neat oval shaped paws. Her tail is of good length and thickness and tapers to a rounded tip and balances. She has a gently rounded dome with well set largish ears, that are broad at the base with rounded tips and set with a slight forward tilt, their outer edge following the line of her wedge. Her profile shows a distinct nosebreak, she has a firm level chin, with good depth to head, level bite. Medium length wide wedge with blunt muzzle Large lustrous yellow eyes are set with the top line slanting towards the nose and a more rounded lower lid . Super short tight fitting coat of an almost clear pale cream with powdering on her ears and top of head. Shown in lovely condition with a sweet temperament.

Try as I might I could not fit this little girl in my pocket, what an absolute little cracker!! Well muscled body of good weight for her size, she has a rounded chest and straight back. Slender elegant legs and neat spoon shaped paws, her tail is of good shape with a paintbrush tip that balances. Beautifully proportioned head with gently rounded top and excellent width between her medium sized ears that are wide at the base, gently rounded tips and set with a slight forward tilt, their outer line following the outline of her face. She has a short wide wedge narrowing to a blunt muzzle, with a level bite. In profile she has very good depth to her head, rounded brow, distinct nosebreak with a short straight nose. She has a firm level chin and levelbite. Her eyes are large and lustrous and of the desired shape with the topline slanting towards her nose and a fuller more rounded bottom lid. They are a muddy yellow where the colour is still developing. She still has that slightly surprised look that is so typical of a Burmese kitten. Her coat is kittenish (but at this age you would expect nothing else) and a very pretty mingling of warm pale brown with shades of red. A promising baby with an endearing temperament that coped exceptionally well with her first show. She was my judges choice and went on toi BOV Burmese kittens – well done!
2 Allens MINAHTO TRIUMPHOFHOPE (27) F 26/08/10
Another dear little soul, just old enough to be shown but already having good weight for her size. Well balanced body with rounded chest and straight back. Her legs are slender with neat oval paws and her tail is a good shape and tapers to a rounded tip and balances. She has a gently rounded top of head and brow with good width between her medium well set ears. Lustrous muddy yellow eyes of correct shape and set but they could be a little larger. Short blunt wedge, with distinct nose break good depth to head, strong chin and level bite. Her ears are well shaped with rounded tips and set with a slight forward tilt. Warm seal brown soft kittenish coat. A real sweetie who was a little overawed by everything that was going on around her but when she relaxed was easy to handle. Shown in lovely condition.
3 Henrys ARLEBURY STELLA BYSTARLIGHT (27e) F 14/08/10
Although only fractionally older than Triumphofhope this lass was bigger and rangier all through. Of very good weight with a firm muscular body that has a straight back and rounded chest Her tail is of the desired shape and thickness and tapers to a paintbrush tip and balances her body. Her head could do with slightly more depth but has a beautifully rounded dome with good width between her medium sized ears that are broad at the base with gently rounded tips and set with a slight forward tilt, their outer line following the outline of her face. She has large lustrous yellow eyes that are set with the top line slanting towards his nose and full more rounded lower lid. They are set well apart with giving her the typical Burmese expression. Short broad wedge with a blunt muzzle and level bite. In profile she has a rounded brow, reasonable nosebreak to slightly long nose, strong level chin. She has the most beautiful coat, sleek and close lying with a very attractive mingling of brown and red. A promising girl enjoying her day out.
4 CHIGNELS RUSELLA MINNALOUSHE (27c) F 11/07/10
Slightly older lilac baby, with an elegant body feeling firm and muscular with rounded chest and straight back. She has proportionate elegant legs with neat oval shaped paws. Her tail is of good length and thickness and tapers to a paintbrush tip and balances. She has gently rounded top of head with medium sized ears that are of good shape and set on a broad base with rounded tips and have a slight forward tilt but just need a fraction more width between them. Her wedge is medium, broad with a blunt muzzle that is just looking a little pinched at the jaw hinge today (teething??) and she has a level bite. She has a pleasing profile with an acceptable nose break, slightly longer nose that just rolls of a little, strong shallow chin. Her eyes are large, lustrous and yellow chartreuse and are of the desired shape and set with the topline slanting towards her nose and a fuller more rounded lower lid, they are set well apart giving her that special Burmese look. Her coat is a little long and kittenish still and feels slightly coarse along her back but is close lying and of a pale dove grey with a pinky hue.

A lovely type male kitten with that lovely expression, he has a medium length body and feeling firm and muscular with a broad, rounded chest and rump. Proportionate legs with oval paws, long slender toes and tail. His head forms a modified wedge with rounded contours. He has prominent cheekbones and prominent whisker pads. His muzzle is strong with a straight nose and slight stop. He has a strong chin and level bite. His ears are large and open at the base with rounded tips. He has large and lemon shaped eyes that slant slightly upwards. His skin is covered by a very fine down with covering of thicker covering on the backs of his ears. A very sweet baby with a lovely temperament enjoying his day out.
2 Ruffels BLOOMERS BELCHAMPS BUMPKIN (27) M 24/6/10
Sweet brown Burmese lad who had just used his litter tray when we got to him and he had a very wet bottom, he was not too pleased at having dried. Well grown elegant chap, feeling firm and muscular with a straight back and rounded chest and of good weight, proportionate limbs and large oval paws. His tail is of medium thickness at the base and tapers to a rounded tip and balances his body. His wedge is a little on the long side and tapers to a blunt muzzle and his bite is level. Gentle rounding to top of head with good width between his medium sized ears, which have a wide base and rounded tips and are set with a slight forward tilt. His eyes are yellow chartreuse and of the desired shape with the topline sloping towards his nose and a fuller more rounded bottom lid set wide apart. In profile would prefer a deeper head but he has a rounded brow and a good break but his slightly long nose slopes away, his chin is of good depth but sits back a fraction. His coat is short glossy and close lying and of a pleasing warm seal brown. A dear little soul with a lovely temperament

Very pretty blue tortie with a well muscled cobby body with a short level back and broad, deep chest her legs are short strong and well boned with large round paws. Her tail is thick at the base of medium length tail has a rounded tip. Typical round British head with chubby cheeks, a rounded muzzle and well set small neat ears that follow the rounded contours if her head. She has super large round orange eyes that are set well apart. In profile she has a rounded brow with a short straight nose that a correct break and a deep level chin and level bite. Her coat is a little long and softish but sound to the roots and is a nicely mingled shade of blue and pale to warm cream. A very sweet kitten with a lovely temperament.
2 Chances CRAZIPUSS SECRET-PROMISE (18d) F 11/04/10
Another pretty British kitten, this one a Red Silver Tabby. She has a straight back and broad deep chest to her compact cobby body with strong legs and large oval paws, medium thickness to tail which has a rounded tip. Her head is round head with full cheeks, a nicely rounded muzzle and set on a short thick neck with good width between her well set medium sized ears. Her correctly shaped round eyes are a rich orange. In profile she has a rounded brow with a good break to her short straight nose and deep level chin. Her coat is short and dense with clear red tabby markings on a pale silvery ground, she has a M on her head, butterfly and oyster markings on her body and rings on her tail. She bright little girl enjoying her day out.
3 Conways PAMPURRED PANIC AT THEDISCO (30) F 15/8/10 Brown Spotted.
Older British brown spotted kitten with a short cobby body shape, strong well boned legs with rounded paws and a medium length thick tail with a rounded tip. She has a nicely rounded head, strong short thick neck with good width between small neat ears. Her cheeks are nicely rounded and she has large round orange eyes that are spaced well apart. Her nose is broad, short and straight with a Broad, short, straight nose. Round cheeks with firm chin. Good bite. Coat is a little long and soft at present. Ground colour a rich copper brown with dense black spots. Pattern on the head shows a well defined M with spotted whisker pads, spectacles and thumbprints to the ears. The pattern on the body shows numerous well defined oval spots. Tail is ringed and medium in length.
4 Rickers MOORMIST MAXIMUS MERIDIAS (31d) M 01-06-10
This well g rown red lad was the only boy in the class. Of pleasing type he has a well shaped cobby body with well shaped strong limbs and large rounded paws. His tail is of medium length tail, thick at the base with a rounded tip. He has a lovely head that is rounded with the desired fullness at the cheeks and a rounded muzzle. His ears are medium in size and well set and follow the contours of his head. In profile he has a rounded brow, short broad nose with a break but just a tiny bump. His bite was hard to assess as he is teething and was unhappy to have his mouth examined. Super short dense coat of a super rich bright red sparkling white markings on his face, chest ad legs. In super condidiotn with a confident outgoing nature.

Super chocolate lad who has matured into a beautiful Burmese, his manner do however leave a little to be desired and he told me exactly what he thought about being disturbed, but there was no malice and he was easy to handle. He has a solid well muscled body that has a broad rounded chest and straight back. His limbs are shapely with neat spoon shaped paws, medium thickness to his tail that tapers to a paintbrush tip and balances. Slightly rounded top to well proportioned head, with good width between small ears that are wide at the base with gently rounded tips and set with a slight forward tilt and follow the outer line of his face. His wedge is short, wide and narrows to a blunt muzzle, his bite is level. In profile he has very good depth to his head, a rounded brow and distinct nose break with a tiny bump and a firm level chin. His eyes are large lustrous and yellow in colour and are well set with the top line slanting towards the nose and a fuller more rounded bottom lid, set wide apart giving typical Burmese expression. His coat is a warm pale milk chocolate showing some contrast of colour on his face and is short, glossy and close lying. Shown in lovely condition, I see he won BOV Burmese neuter today – well done.
2 Ellis Imp Gr Pr MAINMAN APOLLO (27b) MN 21/05/04
Another lovely chocolate who I have met before he has an elegant body of very good weight that has a nice feel being firm and muscular. He has a rounded chest and straight back. Proportionate slender legs with neat spoon shaped paws. Tail is of good length but a little thick at the base and is just short to balance. Gentle rounding to top of head with medium sized ears set well apart. They are of good shape set on a broad base with slightly rounded tips and and a slight forward tilt. He has a short wide wedge with blunt muzzle, level bite. His lustrous golden yellow eyes have good set with the top line slanting towards the nose and a gently rounded lower line, set well apart giving him a nice Burmese look. Balanced profile with good nose break straight nose, strong chin and good depth to head. Warm milk chocolate coat is sleek and close lying and in lovely condition. A lovely chap who is a worthy Imperial and was just pipped to the post by the younger lad
3 Ellis Gr Pr MAINMAN SMARTYPANTS (27c) MN 08/07/07
This lilac lad has a lovely feel to his weighty well muscled body, with a rounded chest and straight back. He has proportionate limbs and neat oval paws, his tail is of medium thickness and tapers to a rounded tip and balances. He has slight flattening to his top of head with acceptable width between his medium sized ears that are broad at the base with rounded tops and set with a slight forward tilt. He has a medium wide wedge with a blunt muzzle that is looking square today and level bite. His large lustrous pale yellow eyes are of the desired shape with the top line slanting towards her nose and a fuller rounded bottom lid, set well apart to give a typical Burmese expression. In profile he a gently rounded brow, a moderate break but his nose has a small bump, shallow level chin and reasonable depth to his head. His coat is a soft dove grey with bluish shading in his points and is close lying and silky.
