Asian Self or Tortie Kitten 1 entered
1 Graydons KIMANI BUTTERCUP (72g) 30/10/08 F
Blue tortie baby of very good weight and size for 16 weeks. She has a firm well muscled body with rounded chest and straight back, with proportionate limbs and neat oval paws. Her tail is correct for shape and thickness and tapers to a rounded tip and balances. She has a gently rounded top of head with good width between her largish well shaped ears that are set on a broad base, with rounded tips and a slight forward tilt. In profile she had good depth to head with a slightly sloping brow and adequate nose break. She has a firm level chin and level bite. Short broad wedge that narrows to a blunt muzzle that is looking a little pinched at the jaw hinge today. Her eyes are well set with the top line slanting towards the nose and a fuller more rounded lower lid and are wide apart but were just needed to be slightly larger. She has a soft kittenish coat of dark blue mingled with cream that is almost coloured to the roots. It was very cold in the hall and like a lots of the kittens her coat was looking a bit open in the morning but it seemed to be laying well later in the day when it was warmer. A real sweetie with an attractive cream blaze down her face and an endearing temperament.

1 Kenny’s ELANAY ANASTACIA BROWN (72 45q) 22/09/08 F
Pretty black ticked tabby with BCR of good weight and size, feeling firm and muscular with rounded chest and straight back. She has elegant proportionate limbs and neat oval paws. Her tail is of medium thickness, tapers to a rounded tip and balances her body. She has gentle rounding to her top of head and well spaced large ears that are wide at the base with rounded tips and are set with a slight forward tilt but she is tending to hold a little high today. Large lustrous yellow eyes just show a slight green inner rim and have good shape and set with the top line slanting towards the nose and a fuller more rounded bottom lid and are set wide apart. In profile she has a distinct nosebreak, straight nose firm level chin and bite. Her wedge is short and broad and shows a slight pinch jaw hinge today. Her coat is a little long but shows two clear bands of warm seal brown ticking on a creamy beige ground. She has an M on her forehead with attractive pencilling on her cheeks and pale spectacles with dark mascara. She has bars on her front legs and smudges on her knees, a broken necklace and solid tip to her tail. She was a little hissy out of the pen but easy to handle. A promising baby who just needs to grow into her ears.
Wrong pattern Crow & Goss’s KAGURA OPALESQUE (72 45psq) 15/08/08 F
This gorgeous kitten was in my book as a Caramel Tortie ticked tabby but I am afraid that I couldn’t find any obvious ticking in her coat She has a heavy well muscled body with rounded chest and straight back, elegant limbs and neat oval paws. Her tail is medium thickness and tapers to a rounded tip and balances her body. She has gentle rounding to her top of head with well spaced correctly shaped ears that have a broad base and rounded tips and are set with a slight forward tilt their outer line following the outline of her wedge. In profile she has good depth to her head with a distinct nose break and straight nose. Firm level chin , level bite. She has a short broad wedge narrowing to a blunt muzzle. Large lustrous yellow eyes that have good set with the top line slanting towards the nose and a fuller more rounded lower lid, set wide apart giving the correct Asian expression, with that slight kitten cheekiness. Her coat is longer than ideal at present but is sleek and close lying and of a cool toned bluish fawn with shades of apricot on a pale ground that I felt may not be silver but was prepared to give her the benefit of doubt due to her tender age. She has a scarab on her forehead, pale spectacles and darker mascara but no signs of tabby markings. A most beautiful baby and quite a little character who demanded attention.

1 & BOB Powers MAINMAN KISSOFINDIA (27) 26/05/08 F
Pretty brown girl who is almost an adult, her body is of elegant proportions with a rounded chest and straight back and feels firm, muscular and is of very good weight. She has elegant slender legs with neat spoon shaped paws. Her tail is of good length and thickness and tapers to a rounded tip. Her dome is gently rounded with good width between well set medium sized ears that are of good shape with slightly rounded tips and set with a slight forward tilt but she was tending to hold them a little high today. She has a short wide wedge with a blunt muzzle and good width at jaw hinge. Her profile shows a distinct nose break, short nose with a tiny bump, strong chin and good depth to head. Large expressive yellow chartreuse eyes that looked a little on the round side on the table but the shape improved when she was relaxed back in her pen. Her coat is short glossy and close lying and of a rich warm seal brown. She was very tense today which I feel contributed to the way she was holding her ears and eyes as both improved when she was back in the safety of her pen.

2 Moores MOONGAZER MONSOON (27c) 01/11/08 M

A nice size to this lad who is almost an adult, he has a strong well muscled body with broad rounded chest and straight back, proportionate limbs and large oval paws. His profile shows a good deep head with a rather heavy brow, distinct break to his nose that just slopes away and he has a firm level chin. His wedge is short, wide and tapers to a blunt muzzle and he has a level bite. Lustrous green chartreuse eyes are correctly shaped with the topline slanting towards his nose and a fuller more rounded lower lid but they just need to be larger and the expression is spoilt by his brow. His coat is a little long but lays well and is of a beautiful dove grey with pinky overtones but appeared a little brindled today. A happy boy with a lovely temperament.

Gently rounded top to his head with good width between his medium sized ears that are of good shape and set well apart with slight forward tilt, the outer edges following the outline of his face. He has a short wide wedge that narrows to a blunt muzzle with a level but untidy bite. Large lustrous yellow chartreuse of the desired shape with the top line slanting towards his nose and a fuller more rounded lower line and are set well apart giving him a typical Burmese expression. In profile he has reasonable depth to his head with a gently rounded brow well defined nosebreak and a strong chin that just lays back a little. His cream coat is a short, glossy and close lying and shows a pleasing bloom on his head and back. A happy lad who was a pleasure to judge.

This beautiful brown girl is an excellent example of a Burmese – I have judged her several times before and my opinion is unchanged. She has a well filled body that still looks elegant and is of excellent weight with rounded chest and straight back. She has elegant shapely legs with neat spoon shaped paws. Her tail is of acceptable length and medium thickness and tapers to a paintbrush tip and is just a little short to balance. Her top of head is gently rounded with good width between her medium sized ears that are of the required shape with slightly rounded tips, a broad base and set with a slight forward tilt, their outer edge following the line of her wedge. In profile she has a distinct nose break, straight nose, strong firm chin and good depth to head. Her wedge is short and broad and she has a blunt muzzle with good width at the jaw hinge and she has a level bite. Large lustrous yellow eyes have good set with the top line slanting towards the nose and a gently rounded bottom lid and are set wide apart giving the correct Burmese expression. She has the most beautiful short silky coat that is close lying and of a warm seal brown in excellent condition. A real sweetie who enjoyed her cuddle.

It is quite a while since I last saw this chocolate lad and he is maturing nicely. He has a solid well muscled body that has a broad rounded chest and straight back . His limbs are shapely with neat spoon shaped paws, medium thickness to his tail that tapers tapers to a paintbrush tip and balances. Slightly rounded top to well proportioned head, with good width between small ears that are wide at the base with gently rounded tips and set with a slight forward tilt and follow the outer line of his face. His wedge is short, wide and narrows to a blunt muzzle, his bite is level. In profile he has very good depth to his head, a rounded brow and distinct nosebreak with a tiny bump and a firm level chin. His eyes are large lustrous and yellow chartreuse in colour and are well set with the top line slanting towards the nose and a fuller more rounded bottom lid, set wide apart giving typical Burmese expression. His coat is a warm milk chocolate showing some contrast of colour on his face and is short, glossy and close lying. A super lad who wasn’t very happy at being disturbed today but acquiesced to our handling with some grumbling and hissing. |
