Thank you so much to Pat and her team for their kind invitation to judge and their hospitality at this well run and popular show. I had a super entry in both quantity and quality. Special thanks to my friend Sarah who came just to steward for me and handled the cats with care, confidence and good humour. Also thanks to my YES second steward Isobel Wright, she is bright and interested in all the cats, even though in a totally different group to her own. She was a great help and good company. Hope we can do it again soon.

Just a whisker between the three boys in this class. I have judged Apollo and Rajah before and they change places each time – today Apollo had that extra sparkle so took the certificate.

Looking the business today this super chocolate lad has a weighty athletic body that has a gently rounded chest and straight back from shoulder to rump with proportionate slender limbs and neat oval paws. His tail is correctly shaped and tapers to a rounded tip but is just a little thicker than ideal. No doubting this is a male Burmese he has a masculine head that shows a pleasing rounding to the dome with very good width between his small well set ears that have a broad base, gently rounded tips and are set with a slight forward tilt, their outer lines following and enhancing the shape of his wedge, which is short and wide with good width at the jaw hinge and finishes with a lovely blunt muzzle and a level bite. He has a nicely balanced profile with a gently rounded brow, distinct nosebreak and a firm level chin. He has super large lustrous yellow eyes that have the topline slanting towards his nose and a fuller more rounded lid and are set well apart giving him a super Burmese look. His warm milk chocolate coat is sleek and close lying and has a lovely silky feel. An absolute gentleman who was a pleasure to judge

Close up to my winner and an old favourite of mine – this strong handsome lad has an elegant body of very good weight for size feeling firm and muscular with rounded chest and straight back. His legs are strong and elegant with neat spoon shaped paws. Nice shape to his tail but it is tad thick at the base and just short to balance. He has a gently rounded top to his head with excellent width between well set medium sized ears. They are broad at the base with rounded tips and set with a slight forward tilt, their outer line following the line of upper face. His profile shows very good depth to his with a gently rounded brow, excellent break to his short straight nose, a strong level chin and bite. He has a lovely short broad wedge that narrows to a blunt muzzle. Lustrous pale yellow chartreuse eyes have good set with the top line slanting towards the nose and a gently rounded bottom and set wide apart to give the typical Burmese expression. Super texture to his warm darker milk chocolate coat that is sleek, close lying and in lovely condition. A real ‘teddy bear ‘of a cat who just loves his cuddles.

At nearly twelve this super girl and still the youngsters a run for their money. She has a weighty firm body with rounded chest and straight back, dainty legs and spoon shaped paws and despite a little ‘middle-aged’ spread still retains her elegance. Her tail is of correct shape and thickness narrowing to a paintbrush tip but is short to balance. Her head is pure Burmese with a gently rounded dome with good width between her small ears that have a broad base with rounded tips. They are well set with a slight forward tilt, their outer edges following the lines of her face. She has a short broad wedge shaped head that narrows to a blunt muzzle, level bite. Her large lustrous pale yellow chartreuse eyes have the desired shape and set with the top lid slanting towards her nose with a fuller more rounded lower line and set well apart giving the correct glowering expression. In profile she has very good depth to her head with a rounded brow, distinct break, straight nose and level strong chin. Today her coat looked a little open but it is a clear rich tangerine that is short and lay close when stroked. She has a lovely temperament and is a joy to judge.

Another older lady of very good Burmese type, who I think enjoys her food! She feels firm and muscular with a nice straight back and rounded chest, elegant straight legs ending with neat spoon shaped paws. Her tail is nicely shaped and tapers to rounded tip but is just a fraction short to balance. A pretty girl with that slight flattening to her top of head that comes with age, very good width between her medium sized ears that are set on a wide base with rounded tips and a slight forward tilt. In profile she has a nice deep head with a rounded brown and a distinct break to her short straight nose that just rolls off at the tip, with a strong level chin and bite. Her wedge is short wide and ends in a nice blunt muzzle with good width at her cheeks. She has large lustrous eyes that have faded with age to a pale chartreuse colour, they are correctly shaped with the topline curving gently towards her nose and a fuller more rounded lower lid and are set well apart giving her a glowering expression. Super texture to her slightly long coat that has a lovely silky feel and lies close to her body. A real sweetheart enjoying her day out.

Petite and elegant ticked tabby Asian who is just an adult and just needs maturity to complete the picture. She has a firm muscular body of excellent weight with a rounded chest and straight back, elegant limbs and neat oval paws. Her tail is well shaped and tapers to a rounded tip and balances her body. She has a gently rounded top to her head with well spaced largish ears that have a broad base and nicely rounded tips that are set with a slight forward tilt with their outer line nicely following the line of her upper face. In profile she has a slightly flat brow with a distinct break to her short nose that has just the merest hint of a bump, firm level china and a level bite. She has a short broad wedge with a nice blunt finish and good width at the cheek bone. Super shape to her large lustrous yellow eyes which are correctly set with the topline slanting towards her nose and a fuller more rounded lower lid with good width between them giving her a super expression. Her beautiful short close lying coat has very good ticking, showing 2 bands of a warm seal brown on a warm creamy base. She has very pretty facial markings with an M on her forehead, pale spectacles and dark mascara, half bars on all four limbs, rings on her tail which has a solid brown tip. A sparkling little character who should have a bright future.

Super type to this lovely ticked tabby girl, she has a slender elegant body with a nicely rounded chest and straight back that feels firm and muscular with elegant legs and neat oval paws. Good length to her tail that is nicely shaped and tapers to a paintbrush tip. She has a beautifully balanced with gentle rounding to the top with well spaced medium sized ears that are set on a broad base and nicely rounded tips and tip slightly forward with their outer line following the line of her wedge. In profile she has a rounded brow with a distinct break to her short straight nose, and she has a firm level chin. She has a super short wide wedge that tapers to blunt muzzle with very good width at the jaw hinge. Her eyes are large lustrous and yellow in colour, set with the topline slanting towards her nose and a fuller more rounded lower lid with good width between them giving her a super expression. Lovely texture to her short fine close lying coat that is evenly, though somewhat heavily ticked showing clear dark bluish fawn ticking on a pale cool beige ground with a distinct metallic sheen. She has an M on her forehead and attractive pale spectacles with darker mascara. A lovely mature girl, shown in super condition with a very sweet temperament.

Nicely balanced Bombay boy of good size and weight, that feels firm and muscular. He has a nicely rounded chest and straight back elegant limbs and neat oval paws. His tail is well shaped of the correct thickness, tapers to a rounded tip and balances. He has a slightly flat top of head with acceptable width between his medium well shaped ears that have a broad base with rounded tips and are set with a slight forward tilt. His profile shows a rounded brow with a gentle break to his short straight nose, his chin could be deeper and he has a level bite. His wedge is short and wide and narrows to a blunt muzzle. He has large lustrous deep yellow eyes that are correctly set with the topline slanting towards his nose and a fuller more rounded lower lid, they are set well apart giving the typical expression. Beautiful glossy black coat that is coloured to the roots and short and close lying. Presented in excellent condition with a sweet temperament.

Weighty lad who is just an adult and looks immature and unbalanced at present, he has a firm well muscled body with a rounded chest and straight back. His tail is thick at the base and tapers to a rounded tip and just balances. He has a slightly flat top of head and needs more width between his large correctly shaped ears that he tends to hold upright. He has a medium broad wedge that narrows to a blunt muzzle that shows a slight pinch at his jaw hinge. He has a slightly long sloping brow and lacks any real evidence of a break and his nose slopes away at the tip, with a shallow receding chin. He has expressive rich yellow eyes that are of the correct shape and set. His coat is dark pewter blue with some mushroom overtones and is long and was open and greasy to the touch today. He has a super temperament and loved his cuddle. I am sorry to withhold but his head type and condition precluded this ward today.

Well mannered masculine lad who has a solid well filled body of good weight and muscle tone. He has proportionate limbs with neat oval paws and a tail of correct shape and length to balance but is rather thicker than ideal. He has a nicely rounded top to his head with good width between his medium well shaped ears. His wedge is medium broad and tapers to a blunt muzzle. In profile he has a slightly rounded brow but needs much more definition to his break and his chin is shallow and level. His eyes tend to be Oriental in shape and are somewhat deep set but are of a good yellow colour. His coat is short and close lying but was harsh to the touch and very brindled. He was an absolute gentleman with a deep insistent purr.

Impress she did, most beautiful girl of super Burmese type but an absolute baggage! She has a firm weighty body with a nicely rounded chest and straight back with proportionate slender elegant legs ending in neat oval paws. Her tail is medium thick at the base and tapers slightly to a rounded tip and balances her body. She has a lovely classic head with gently rounded top and very good width between her small well shaped ears that sit on a wide base with gently rounded tips and have a slight forward tilt their outer line following the shape of the upper part of her face. Her wedge is short and wide with excellent width at her cheekbones and ends in a blunt muzzle. In profile she great depth to her head with a gently rounded brow with a strong break to her short straight nose and a firm level chin and bite. Her eyes are large and lustrous and a pleasing yellow in colour, correctly set wide apart with the topline slanting towards her nose and a fuller more rounded lower lid giving her a typical glowering Burmese expression. She has a super short close fitting silky coat that a mid blue with attractive silvering. A stunning girl who told us in no uncertain terms that she did not want to play today but her temper only served to enhance her expression and win her this class. She is “just my cup of tea”

She has lovely large lustrous yellow eyes that are correctly set wide apart with the topline slanting towards her nose and a fuller more rounding lower lid giving her a super Burmese look. Her coat is short silky and close lying and a mid blue with lovely silvering. A sweet girl with a lovely temperament.

Mature looking girl of nearly three years she has a body is of elegant proportions with a rounded chest and straight back and feels firm, muscular and is of very good weight. She has slender elegant legs with neat spoon shaped paws. Her tail is of good length and thickness and tapers to a paintbrush tip. She has lovely rounding to her dome with good width between well set medium sized ears that are of good shape with slightly rounded tip and set with a slight forward tilt. She has a short wide wedge with a blunt muzzle and good width at jaw hinge. Her profile shows a short straight nose but she just needs a little more definition to her break, strong chin and good depth to head. Super shape and set to her lustrous yellow chartreuse eyes that could be a touch larger for perfection. Her coat is a little long but has a lovely texture and lays well and is a clear mid blue with silver on her paws and the curves of her face. A pretty girl shown in excellent condition and with a super nature.

Gently rounded top of head with good width between her well shaped ears, that are set with a slight forward tilt and follow the outline of her face. She has a short broad wedge narrowing to a blunt muzzle, level but slightly untidy bite. She has reasonable depth to head with a gently rounded brow and fairly good break to her slightly long straight nose and shallow firm chin. Large lustrous yellow chartreuse eyes are well set with the top line slanting towards her nose and a fuller more rounded lower lid and are set well apart giving the typical Burmese expression. She has the most beautiful coat that is short glossy and close lying and a medium tangerine in colour with a faint broken necklace. Shown in super condition but was an absolute baggage and used language that was totally unbecoming of a lady!

Her head has gentle rounding to the dome with good width between her well shaped ears that are set on a broad base with rounded tips and a slight forward tilt and follow the outline of her face. Pleasing with to her short wedge that narrows to a blunt muzzle, level bite. She has good depth to head with a rounded brow and well defined break to her short straight nose, and medium firm chin. Her beautiful large lustrous yellow eyes are well set with the top line slanting towards her nose and a fuller more rounded lower lid; they are set well apart giving her a super Burmese expression. Beautifully mingled chocolate tortie coat is short and close lying. A sweet girl with a lovely temperament

Eye catching young lass who I have met before and although a month older than my winner just lacked her maturity. She has a super weighty muscular body of pleasing proportions with rounded chest and straight back. Her legs are elegant and end in neat spoon shaped paws, nice shape to her tail which is of medium thickness and tapers to a rounded tip. She has a lovely rounded top to her head with well spaced and set ears that are broad at the base with rounded tips, set with a slight forward tilt their outline correctly following the line of her upper face. She has a pleasing short wide wedge with a blunt muzzle and level bite. Her large lustrous yellow eyes are of the desired shape with the top line slanting towards her nose and a fuller rounded bottom lid; they are set well apart giving her a glowering Burmese expression. In profile I would prefer better depth to her head but she has a distinct nose break with a straight nose and medium chin. Short close lying coat of nicely mingled dove grey and cream. A very sweet girl with a lovely temperament who was unlucky to meet my winner today.

Yet another lovely young tortie, this one a chocolate she has a strong elegant body with slender limbs and neat oval paws. Her tail is of medium thickness and tapers to a paintbrush tip and balances. Her top of head is nicely rounded and she has correctly shaped largish ears, that have a broad base with rounded tips and are set with a slight forward tilt. She has a nice short wide blunt wedge that finishes in a blunt muzzle. In profile she has very good depth of her head with a nicely rounded brow and straight nose but I would like more definition to her break. She has a nice deep chin but it just lays back a little. Lovely shape and set to her large lustrous yellow eyes with the top line slanting towards her nose well rounded, fuller lower lid. Super short, glossy close lying coat shows attractive mingling of milk chocolate and red. A pretty girl who was not in the best of moods today

She has a slightly rounded top of head with good width between her medium sized ears that are broad at the base with rounded tips and set with a slight forward tilt, their outer line following the outline of her wedge. In profile she shows good depth to her head, with pleasing rounding to her brow with a distinct nose break that just has the hint of a bump, she has a firm chin and level bite. She is just stunning face on with a short broad wedge that narrows to a blunt muzzle that is good width at the jaw hinge. Large lustrous yellow chartreuse eyes are well set with the topline slanting towards her nose with a fuller more rounded lower line and are set well apart. Her coat is short glossy and coat lying and of a mid blue showing silvering on her head and paws. I understand she went on to win BOV Burmese kitten – many congratulations to her owner breeder.

Attractive red lad with a well muscled body of good weight for his size, he has a rounded chest and straight back, slender elegant legs and neat spoon shaped paws, his tail is of medium thickness and of good shape with a paintbrush tip and balances but has a tiny indiscretion at the tip. His top of head is slightly rounded and he good width between his medium sized ears that are wide at the base, gently rounded tips and set with a slight forward tilt, their outer line following the outline of him face. He has a reasonably short wide wedge narrowing to a blunt muzzle, with a level bite. In profile he has nice depth to him head, slightly rounded brow, and distinct nosebreak with a shortish nose with a tiny bump. His chin is of acceptable depth and level. He has pleasing large lustrous yellow eyes that are correctly set and of the desired shape with the topline slanting towards him nose and a fuller more rounded bottom lid and are set well apart. His coat is short and close lying a bright tangerine in colour with a couple of smudges on his knees and two pale broken necklaces. He was not in the best of moods so did not show himself off to the best advantage.

Striking chocolate silver classic tabby Ocicat with an elegant graceful body, strong sturdy legs with compact oval paws and long proportionate tail. He has a longish modified wedge with wide top and large ears set well apart, square muzzle with a strong chin and level bite. He has a gentle rise from nose to brow and a slight dip in profile. His ears are well set with gently rounded tips and tufts. He has large almond shaped deep amber eyes. Most beautiful short, satiny close lying coat that has a healthy sheen and showing clear chocolate tabby markings on a pale silver ground. He has an M on his forehead, pencilling on his cheeks and a pleasing mascara effect around his eyes. There are unbroken lines down his spine to his tail which is ringed with a solid tip. He has a butterfly effect on his back and oysters on his flanks and a lovely spotty tummy. A sweet shy gentle lad.

Her legs are slender and elegant with neat oval feet. She has a gently rounded top to her head with good space between her correctly sized ears that have a broad base and rounded tips and are set with a slight forward tilt. Her wedge is medium with a slight whisker break. She has large expressive pale greeny blue eyes of the desired shape and set with the top line slanting towards her nose and more rounded fuller lower line and almost almond in shape. In profile she has a moderate nosebreak, firm level chin and untidy level bite. Super texture to her short close fitting shows that shows a delightful mingling of caramel and apricot merging to darker points. A very sweet girl shown in lovely condition.

Mature blue eyed snow spotted Bengal, who has a large sleek well muscled body that rises to the rump with proportionate legs and large rounded paws. His tail is thick and even with a rounded tip of medium length and carried low. His head appears small in proportion to his body and forms a medium wedge; it is longer than it is wide with high cheekbones and rounded contours. His profile shows a gentle curve to his nose which is large with a broad muzzle and pronounced whisker pads, a firm level chin with a level bite. His large almost round eyes are a deep blue and correctly set with a slight slant towards the base of his ears giving the desired expression. Very nice texture to his short dense coat that shows charcoal grey spots on an ivory base, he has attractive facial markings with a very pale muzzle, ‘M’ on forehead, pencil lines on cheeks, chin straps and vertical streaks over head, his eyes, nose and lips are outlined in black. He has broken lines and spots on his legs, tummy and rings on tail. A happy lad who was easy to handle.

Shown in lovely condition this Singapura boy has a lithe muscular medium length body with good weight and feel. He has proportionate length legs that taper slightly to neat oval paws with a well balanced tail that has a rounded tip and is just short of his shoulder. He has a nicely rounded skull with large deep cupped ears. He has rounded width at the outer eye that narrows to a short broad muzzle with definite whisker break. In profile his head shows good depth, with a rounded skull and a slight stop just below the eye line, then his nose straight to the tip which is on a level plane to his chin, which I felt could be deeper and he has a level bite. He has large eyes that are a luminous greenish hazel with dark eyeliner and set well apart and held well open. Lovely texture to his short close lying coat and has distinct coolish sepia brown ticking on a warm golden ivory base with warm salmon colouring on the backs of his ears and the bridge of his nose which is a dark salmon colour. His tummy chest and inner legs are unticked and he has faint smudges on his inner front legs and knees. His face has attractive well defined “Cheetah” lines running from the corner of his eyes to just behind his whisker pads, with an M and a complex scarab on his forehead. His tail has a dark tip with colour extending towards his body and brown spurs on his lower back legs. A lovely boy show in super condition and with a sweet temperament.

Very pretty silver spotted Egyptian Mau , not a big girl but she has a muscular medium length body, proportionate elegant legs and dainty rounded paws with a moderately thick tail that tapers to a rounded tip. She has a moderate slightly rounded wedge with good width to her gently rounded muzzle that flows in to the contours of her head and uniform width to her nose. Her ears are medium to large in size with a broad base and slightly pointed tips, set well back on her head and nicely cupped forward to follow the planes of her head. In profile she has a very gentle curve to her brow and almost straight nose, with a slightly shallow chin and level bite. She has beautiful large lustrous rounded almond shaped eyes that are a palish gooseberry green and set under straight brow to give her the typical worried look. Her coat is medium length with a lovely sheen, with a nice resilient texture and clear black markings on a pale silver ground. She has very attractive facial markings with two mascara lines running from her eyes across her cheeks. She has an M on her forehead and a complex scarab over the top of her head that breaks into spots along her spine line and converge into a dorsal stripe that runs to the end of her tail. She has clearly defined spots over shoulders, body and tummy, with two broken necklaces. Her legs are barred and have small spots and black heels. Shown in super condition she had a lot to say for herself but was relaxed and easy to handle.

Looking mature for her two years this blue eyed Snow Marbled Bengal has a sleek well muscled body with level back and broad gently rounded chest and with strong proportionate limbs with large rounded paws. Very good tail for shape but it could be a tad thicker for perfection; it is carried low and has a rounded tip. Attractive Bengal head that is just small in proportion to her body. Her medium wedge shows rounded contours and high cheek bones. In profile she shows a gentle curve from forehead to bridge of nose, slight concave curve towards the nose leather. She has a large broad nose with a broad muzzle and pronounced whisker pads. Her chin is firm, level with a level bite. Medium sized ears are wide at base and rounded at tips. She has large clear hazel green eyes that are almond shaped and slanted towards the base of the ear giving the desired wild expression. Her coat is short and dense with a silky texture and shows charcoal swirls and streaks on a pale creamy ground. She has an M on her forehead, mascara effect to eyes surrounded by lighter spectacles, defined pencilling on her cheeks and a chin strap, a double necklace, broken bracelets and spots on legs, rings on her tail. Shown in lovely condition with a sweet temperament.

Appealing black Cornish Rex baby who has a medium body that was slender and in nice hard muscular condition. She has long straight legs in proportion with her body ending in small oval paws and a long well covered tapering tail. She has a medium wedge with characteristic high cheek bones and appearing about one third longer than wide. Her profile shows a flat skull that curves gently at brow and is virtually straight to tip of her nose and her chin is firm with a level bite. Her ears are large with a wide base and rounded tips and are set quite high on her head. She has oval shaped eyes that I felt could be a fraction larger but they are correctly set with an almost straight topline and slight slant to the outer ear. She had a lovely short dense silky coat that was well rippled on his sides, head, neck and descending down her legs and along her tail. A sweet lass enjoying her day out.

She has proportionately long firm legs with neat paws which have long padded toes. Her head shows is wedge shaped with prominent cheek bones and a broad rounded muzzle. Her profile shows a rounded skull with a straight nose and barely perceptible stop, strong chin and a suspect bite that may be due to teething. Her eyes are large and a rounded lemon shape and set wide apart. Her body is covered with a very fine down with a thicker covering across her muzzle and the back of her ears. A very friendly girl who enjoyed our attention.

Litter sister to my winner this Blue Cornish Rex girl has a long well muscled body with proportionate slender legs, neat oval paws and a long tapering tail. Her head shows a medium wedge with characteristic high cheek bones and appearing about one third longer than wide. In profile she has an almost a flat skull that curves gently at brow and is virtually straight to tip of her nose but her chin is shallow and lays back and she has a level bite. She has large well shaped ears that have a wide base and rounded tips and are set quite high on her head. She has large oval shaped eyes that that are set with an almost straight topline and slight slant to the outer ear. Her coat is short, dense and reasonable well waved but lacked rexing along her spine line where it was very short and sparse at the moment. She has lovely crinkly whiskers and eyebrows. A sweet purry kitten.

She has large lustrous yellow chartreuse eyes of the required shape and set with the top line slanting towards her nose and a fuller more rounded lower line, set wide apart giving that simmering Burmese expression. In profile she has a rounded brow and distinct break to her short nose that has a tiny bump, firm level chin. She has a short glossy close fitting coat of a warm milk chocolate.

She has a beautiful short close lying glossy coat mingled warm seal brown and red. She totally lived up to her name and was a little darling!

My take home kitten of the day – well that is if her owner would have let me! Super well muscled body of good weight for her size, she has a rounded chest and straight back. Slender elegant legs and neat spoon shaped paws, her tail is of good shape with a paintbrush tip that balances. Beautifully proportioned head with gently rounded top and excellent width between her medium sized ears that are wide at the base, gently rounded tips and set with a slight forward tilt, their outer line following the outline of her face. She has a short wide wedge narrowing to a blunt muzzle, with a level bite. Her profile shows very good depth to her head, a nicely rounded brow, and distinct nosebreak with a short straight nose. She has a firm level chin and level bite. Her eyes are large and lustrous and muddy yellow as yet but they are correctly shaped with the topline slanting towards her nose and a fuller more rounded bottom lid. Her coat is kittenish (but at this age you would expect nothing else) and a very pretty mingling of warm pale brown with shades of red. My only concern is that I think is actually chocolate and not brown but I gave her the benefit in the hall lighting today. A promising baby with an affectionate temperament.

In profile she shows good depth to her head, slight rounding to her brow with a distinct nose break with a short straight nose. Her chin is firm and level and she has a level bite. She has a super short broad wedge that narrows to a blunt muzzle. Large lustrous muddy yellow chartreuse eyes are well set with the top line slanting towards her nose with a fuller more rounded lower line and are set well apart and this along with her attitude gives her a super Burmese expression. Kittenish texture to her short glossy and pale pinky dove grey coat. A promising babe who knows some very unbecoming language but was easy to handle.

Her coat is dark pewter blue with silvering on her extremities. It is just a little long but lays well and has a lovely healthy sheen and of a dark pewter colour. A lovely purry girl who I remember competing against when she was entire. A credit to her owner/breeder

In profile he has a gentle rise from his longish nose to brow and a slight dip. His has very large ears that are well set with gently rounded tips and long tufts. He has large hazel almond shaped that are well set and angle slightly toward his ears. Most beautiful short, satiny close lying coat that has a healthy sheen and showing clear black spotty markings on a tawny ground but shows some agouti invasion. He has an M on his forehead, pencilling on his cheeks and a pleasing mascara effect around his eyes. The spots extend well down his legs to broken bracelets and he has a spotty tummy. A bright confident chap with a deep insistent purr who was happy to be handled.
