Thank you to John, Elaine and Lisa for the invitation to judge and their hospitality on the day. I hope the exhibitors weren’t too disappointed at the change of judge as Steve Crow was unable to attend. Special thanks to Georgina Anderson Keeble for looking after me, she handled the cats with care, and was great company. I am looking forward to the next time.

Just approaching his second birthday this lad is of good overall type with a weighty medium length well muscled body with a rounded chest and straight back, with sturdy legs and neat oval paws. His tail is thicker than ideal, just short to balance and has a paintbrush tip and showed some evidence of stud tail. Gently rounded top of head with plenty of width between his large ears that have a broad base and rounded tips and are set with the outer line following his wedge and a slight forward tilt. He has a short broad jowly wedge, blunt muzzle and a level bite. His profile shows good depth to his head with a slightly rounded brow and distinct nose break that just rolls away slightly. His chin is of a good depth and recedes slightly. He has expressive pale chartreuse eyes that are set well apart with a nicely rounded bottom line but just appeared to have a slightly straight topline – that is when we persuaded him to open them properly. His coat is a little long and of a pale dove grey with pinky overtones but was patchy and very open and felt greasy today. His temperament was wonderful all he wanted was a cuddle!! I am sorry to withhold but his condition just ket him down today.

Classy and elegant this girl really looked the part today! She has rounded chest and straight back and feels firm, muscular and is of very good weight. She has elegant well shaped slender legs with neat oval paws. Her tail is of good length and thickness, tapers to a paintbrush tip and balances. She has a slightly flat top of head with good width between well set medium sized ears that are nicely shaped with slightly rounded tips, broad base and set with a slight forward tilt, the outer line follows the line of her wedge. She has a short wide wedge with a blunt muzzle and good width at jaw hinge. Her profile shows a gently rounded brow, distinct nose break, short straight nose, strong chin and good depth to head. Large expressive yellow chartreuse eyes, are well set with the top line slanting towards the nose and a fuller more rounded bottom line set well apart to give the typical Burmese look. She has the most beautiful short close fitting coat that is a soft dove grey with a slight pinky hue. A lovely young lady who I understand gained her Grand title and BOV adult. Many congratulations to her owner/breeder.

Another super lilac girl who was unlucky to meet my winner today. She has mature weighty body with rounded chest and straight back, elegant slender limbs and neat oval paws. Well shaped tail that balances and tapers to a paintbrush tip. Beautifully balanced Burmese head with slightly rounded top and good width between her ears which are set with a slight forward slant are wide at the base with rounded tips. She has a short broad wedge with blunt muzzle and level bite. Large lustrous yellow chartreuse eyes set wide apart with the top line slanting towards her nose and a fuller more rounded lower lid giving a super Burmese expression. In profile she has good depth to her head, a rounded brow and distinct break to her short straight nose and a firm medium chin. Her coat is short glossy and close lying and is of a pale dove grey with pinky overtones but was looking a little open today. A well behaved girl.

A very attractive blue silver tortie Burmilla with Burmese Colour Restriction, with an elegant body that is firm and muscular and of very good weight with a straight back rounded chest slender legs and neat oval paws. Good shape and length to her tail that balances her body. She has a gently rounded top to her head with good width between her medium ears that are of good shape and set well apart with slight forward tilt, the outer edges following the outline of her face. Her wedge is short and wide and narrows to a blunt muzzle with a level bite. She has large lustrous yellow chartreuse of the desired shape with the top line slanting towards her nose and a fuller more rounded lower line that are set well apart giving her a super Asian expression. Her profile shows a rounded brow with distinct break to her short straight nose and firm level chin. Her coat is short glossy close fitting with a mantle of silvery blue over a silvery blue ground with minimal pale cream mingling. She has an M on her forehead and pencilling on her cheeks, pale spectacles and dark mascara. A typical naughty tortie who hissed and swore but it was all talk and just enhanced her expression. I see she went on to win BOV Foreign Adult.

Another very nice silver Tortie Burmilla, this one a chocolate. She has a heavy well muscled body with rounded chest and straight back, elegant limbs and neat oval paws. Her tail is of medium thickness and tapers to a rounded tip and balances her body. She has gentle rounding to her top of head with well spaced correctly shaped ears that have a broad base and rounded tips and are set with a slight forward tilt their outer line following the outline of her wedge. In profile she has good depth to her head with a distinct break to her short straight nose, her chin is firm and level and she has a level bite. Her wedge is short and broad and narrows to a blunt muzzle with good width at the jaw hinge. She has large lustrous yellow eyes that have very good shape and set with the top line slanting towards the nose and a fuller more rounded lower lid, set wide apart giving a lovely Asian expression. Super texture to her coat that is slightly long but is glossy and close lying and shows a mantle of warm milk chocolate mingled with pale red on a silvery ground. A friendly girl that was a pleasure to judge.

Attractive black ticked tabby with Burmese colour restriction, she has a well muscled medium length body that has a gently rounded chest and a straight back with elegant limbs and neat oval paws. Gently rounded dome with very good width between her medium sized ears that are broad at the base, have rounded tips and are set with a slight forward tilt, their outer line following the line of her wedge. For perfection she needs a little more depth to her head but her profile shows a gently rounded brow with a distinct nosebreak, straight nose and shallow level chin and a level bite. She has a short broad wedge that narrow to a blunt muzzle. Large lustrous yellowy green eyes have a green inner rim and are of the correct shape and set with gentle rounding to the top line that slants towards her nose and a fuller more rounded lower lid, set wide apart giving the correct Asian expression. Beautiful texture to her short close lying coat which shows 2 bands of a warm seal brown on a warm beige ground, with colour on her heels and half bars on her front legs. She has an M on her forehead, pale spectacles with dark mascara around her eyes and a solid brown tip to her tail.

Delightful black ticked tabby with Burmese colour restriction, daughter of White Nile and showing the same lovely breed type. She has a medium length body with a straight back and rounded chest, elegant limbs and neat oval paws, her tail is the correct shape and tapers to a paintbrush tip and balances. Her head shows a gently rounded top of head with reasonable width between her medium sized ears that have a broad base, rounded tips and are set with a slight forward tilt, their outer edges following the line of her wedge. In profile she has a rounded brow, distinct nosebreak with a short straight nose, level chin that needs a touch more depth and a level bite. She has a medium wide wedge that narrows to blunt muzzle. Her large lustrous yellow eyes have the topline slanting towards the nose are set well apart, giving her a typical Asian expression. Her coat is sleek and close lying with warm seal brown ticking on a white ground. I did wonder if in fact she is a standard and took her to the natural light at the window but was still undecided so gave the benefit of doubt and will be interested to see how her coat develops. She has very pretty facial markings with an M on her forehead, complex scarab, pale spectacles and dark mascara, half bars on her front legs, rings on her tail which has a solid brown tip. An absolute sweetie who purred and chirruped.

Very pretty black silver spotted British Shorthair with a cobby body and short level back. Her limbs are short and sturdy with round firm paws. She has a medium length tail that is thick and has a rounded tip. Her head is round with well placed small ears that have rounded tips and are set well apart. In profile she has a nicely rounded forehead with a short broad nose, rounded cheeks, a firm level chin and a level bite. She has large hazel round eyes that are set well apart. Crisp short coat with black spots over silvery ground. Just showing some linkage on her flanks. A very sweet girl with an endearing nature.

This smoke Egyptian Mau is maturing nicely. He has a medium long body feeling hard and muscular with proportionate limbs and small round dainty paws. He has a slightly rounded wedge of medium length with good width between his medium sized ears that are broad at base and moderately pointed and slightly flared. In profile he shows a gentle contour with a slight rise from the bridge of the nose to the forehead, which flows back into the neck. His nose is of uniform width with a gently rounded muzzle and he has a level bite. His eyes are large and almond shaped set straight under a level brow with a slight upward curve on the lower lid and are greeny yellow with a green inner rim where the colour is developing and showing the typical worried look. A friendly kitten with an outgoing nature.

A real pocket kitten!! Confident Singapura of just 5 months with medium length body that is lithe and muscular with elegant legs with small oval feet, and a well balanced tail. Her head shows a rounded skull with good width at the outer eye and narrowing to a short broad muzzle with definite whisker break but that looks a little pinched today. In profile she has a slight stop to her straight nose and a strong well developed chin. Her ears are wide at the base, deep cupped and correctly set with good width between and the outer line just wide of parallel. She has large luminous green eyes of are of very good shape, held well open and set wide apart and at slight slant. She has good depth to her head with a gently rounded brow, slight stop and short nose with leather falling away slightly at tip and level chin of reasonably good depth. Her coat is fine close lying and of medium length and has a smooth silky texture, in superb condition, showing clear ticking of a warm rich sepia brown over a warm ivory ground. She has smudges on her knees and well broken necklace, with colour developing on the backs of her ears, “M” and scarab on forehead, attractive mascara effect to eyes surrounded by light spectacles, well defined “Cheetah” marks on face. A sweet confident kitten!

A lovely calm girl shown in tip top condition.

Her eyes are large and lustrous, of a greeny yellow and are correctly shaped with the top line slanting towards her nose and a fuller more rounded lower lid, set wide apart to give that wonderful wicked expression. Her profile shows an distinct nosebreak, short straight nose and she has a shallow level chin. Beautiful short close lying coat of a soft silvery grey shading over a cool beige ground. She has attractive pencilling around her eyes with pale spectacles and dark mascara. She shows a broken necklace, more intense colour on her heels and spine line. A sweet girl who was enjoying her day out.

I judged this striking black tortie girl recently and my opinion hasn’t changed. She is of lovely type, with a well muscled body that feels firm and muscular with a rounded chest, straight back, elegant limbs and neat oval paws. Her tail is of good length and thickness tapering to a rounded tip which balances to her shoulder. She has a gently rounded top of head with very good width between well shaped ears with rounded tips and a broad base where the outer line follows the shape of the face. Her profile shows a rounded brow, distinct nosebreak, straight nose and shallow level chin with a level bite. Her eyes are large, lustrous and deep gold in colour and of good shape and set with black eyeliner and the top line slanting towards the nose and a fuller more rounded bottom lid set wide apart giving the typical Asian expression. She has a most beautiful coat, showing clear mingling of jet black and a red, that is almost sound to the roots and gleamed with health. A very nice girl who was much calmer than at our last meeting and unlucky to meet the winner today.

He has an acceptable profile showing a gentle curve from forehead to bridge of nose, with a slight concave curve from to nose to tip. His muzzle is broad with a large broad nose and pronounced whisker pads, a firm level chin with a level bite. His ears are medium in size, wide at base and rounded at tips and are set with a slight forward tilt. He has almond shaped eyes that are slanted towards the base of his ears. Beautiful short dense coat that is soft and luxurious. The ground colour is a golden rufus with black markings. Attractive facial markings with a very pale muzzle, ‘M’ on forehead, pencil lines on cheeks, chin strap and vertical streaks over head. Broken lines and spots on legs, rings on tail and spots on tummy. Shown in lovely condition with a gentle temperament.

Black smoke Devon with an elegant, slender muscular body of very good size and weight with good breadth to chest. He has long slender well muscled legs, oval paws, and shaped tail of acceptable length. His head looks immature as yet with fairly short high cheek boned wedge set on an elegant neck with a strong muzzle, well defined whisker break, wavy whiskers and eyebrows. His profile shows rounded brow, flat skull at forehead, stop to slightly long nose that has a bump, deep level chin, level bite. He has large well covered wide based ears have tiny tufts and are well shaped but could be set slightly lower. His large yellow eyes are well set, oval in shape and have that typically naughty Devon expression. He has the most beautiful short fine soft dense coat with silky feel that is well rexed. A sweet, alert boy shown in lovely condition.

Attractive mature Egyptian Mau, who I like very much. He is of very good size and weight, he has a well filled body that feels firm and muscular with a rounded chest and elegant legs and neat round feet, moderate thickness to his tail which tapers slightly to a rounded tip. His head is very well balanced with a medium wedge with good breadth to gently rounded muzzle and uniform width to nose. In profile he has a gentle curve to his brow, slight dip in profile line to nose with a level chin that is of fairly good depth. His ears are medium in size, broad at the base and slightly flared and set well apart and follow the line of his wedge. He has large lustrous almond shaped eyes that are gooseberry green and set well apart under a level brow giving him the typical worried expression. He has a fine dense resilient medium length coat that is silky and smooth in texture. His pattern shows good contrast with well spaced dark charcoal grey spots evenly distributed over a pale silver base, he has two broken necklaces, broken lines and spots on legs rings on his tail which has a dark tip. He has attractive facial markings, his cheeks are barred with mascara lines the first running from the out edge of his eye and follows the contour of his cheek with the second curving from his cheek upwards towards the base of his ear. He has an M on his forehead with a complex scarab on top of his head with lines that run between his ears and down his spineline breaking into elongated spots that merge towards his haunches. A lovely calm boy who was shown in super condition.

Another lovely example of an Egyptian Mau, she has a slender elegant body that is strong and muscular with proportionate elegant limbs and small rounded paws, medium thick tail that tapers to a rounded tip. Her head shows a medium wedge with rounded contours and good breadth to gently rounded muzzle and uniform width to nose. has a gently rounded moderate wedge, with uniform width to her nose. Her profile shows a gentle curve to brow with a slight dip in profile line to her nose. Her chin is level and shows reasonably good depth. Her ears are medium in size of good shape with slightly pointed tips and are well set with good width between them. Her eyes are clear gooseberry green just showing a yellowy caste in the hall light today, large and of correct almond shape and set straight under her level brow and she has that typical ‘worried look’ Beautiful texture to soft dense medium length resilient coat with clear pale charcoal spots over a silver agouti base. She has an M on her forehead with a complex scarab and lines which extend between her ears and down her neck into elongated spots which continue along the spine line merging towards her haunches. Attractive mascara barring on her face with two bars, the first running from the corner of her eye across the contour of her cheeks and a second running from her cheek upwards towards the base of her ears. She has distinct charcoal spots on her body and tummy, with heavy barring to her legs and rings on her tail with a dark tip and two broken necklaces. Shown in super condition with a calm gentle disposition.

Very pretty tortie La Perm. Her body is medium sized, strong and well muscled with proportionate legs and round paws. She has a lovely head with a moderate wedge and gentle contours. Her nose is of moderate length straight with gentle convex curve from the base to the top of the eye and her bite is level. She shows a slight whisker break with well rounded whisker pads. Her ears are slightly flared and cupped with the desired tufts. She has large expressive eyes that are almond shaped set moderately far apart and slanting towards to bottom of her ears. Coat has springy textured feel is of medium length with loose curls looking unkempt. Tail balances the body and is plumed with slight curling. Relaxed with a nice temperament.

Very attractive usual Abyssinian with a lithe muscular body, straight back and nicely rounded rib case. His legs are slender and elegant with proportionate small oval paws, his tail is thick at the base, tapering and balances his body. There is good width between his large well cupped ears that are correctly set with their outer edges following the outline of his face. His head shows a moderate wedge with nicely rounded contours. In profile he has a slight break, short straight nose with a straight line from the tip of his nose to his firm chin. He has large, expressive eyes that are almost almond in shape and set well apart with an oriental look. His coat is short fine, close lying coat with four clear bands of black on a ruddy orange ground. He has attractive pencil lines on his face a double broken necklace and good colouring up his hocks. A mature lad with a lovely disposition.

Most gorgeous chocolate Burmese who is just over 12 months and just screams Burmese. She is a mature girl with a firm weighty body rounded chest and straight back, elegant limbs and neat spoon shaped paw, she has a well shaped tail of medium thickness that tapers to a rounded tip and balances her body. Her beautifully balanced Burmese head has a gently rounded top with good width between her well set ears. They are correctly shaped being wide at the base with gently rounded tips and set with a slight forward tilt, the outer edge following the lines of her face. Her wedge is short broad and narrows to a blunt muzzle with good width at the jaw hinge and a level bite. She has large lustrous yellow chartreuse eyes of the required shape and set with the top line slanting towards her nose and a fuller more rounded lower line, set wide apart giving that simmering Burmese expression. In profile she has a rounded brow and distinct break to her short straight nose, firm level chin. She has a short glossy close fitting coat of a warm milk chocolate. A super girl who is an excellent example of the breed.

Red colourpoint BSH of good sized and weight, with a cobby body, sturdy legs and oval paws. His tail is thick and of medium length with a rounded tip and balances. His head is round with well placed ears, he has round eyes that are set well apart. He has a short broad nose, but just needs a little rounding to his cheeks, his chin is firm and he has a level bite. His coat is crisp and quite dense and a creamy white with pale red colouring to his points with acceptable tabby markings. A sweet lad who enjoyed a cuddle.

She has a moderate wedge with nicely rounded contours. In profile she has a slight break to her straight nose with a straight plane from nose tip to chin. Her large expressive eyes are almost almond in shape and are set well apart giving her a super expression. Her coat is short fine and close lying with clear bands of blue grey ticking on a pinky mushroom ground. She has attractive facial pencilling, with pale spectacles and darker mascara, a double broken necklace and colouring up her hocks. A real wriggler !

Her head shows a moderate wedge with nicely rounded contours with a slight break, short straight nose with a straight line from the tip of her nose to her firm chin. Her eyes are large and expressive and almost almond in shape and set well apart with an oriental look. She has a beautiful short fine, close lying coat with four clear bands of chocolate ticking on a bright orange ground. She has attractive pencil lines on her face a faint double broken necklace and good colouring up her hocks. A very sweet girl who was fed up and hissy at the end of along day
